Faith Over Fear Friday's: Come As You Are!
Updated: Apr 30, 2020

“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28
Some people have the misinterpretation that before you can come to God you have to "clean yourself up". Meaning you have to look certain way, dress a certain way, talk a certain way, act a certain way and most importantly be free from sin Before God will accept you. I'm here to tell you that we all have sinned and have fallen short of the glory of God. The good thing is that He has already died for us and our sins. Therefore, it is now made possible for us to receive His forgiveness if we confess. He requires us to confess our sins so that He can begin to change us as we submit to Him in obedience.
God wants us to come unto Him just as we are. The sick, the hurt, the theft, the lair, the adulterer, the alcohol and drug abuser, the quarantiners, the people on the front line, etc. You don't have to wear your Sunday's best in order to come to God. You can have on your pajamas and house slippers in the comfort of your own home and God will still meet you just where you are so fear not and COME! He is knocking at your front door, it's time for something to break; will you answer? In the current times we live in today could we afford not to?...Press Play!
Get comfortable right where you are, just as you are & press play to see a small example of what "come as you are" looks like. Right in living rooms, kitchens, and bedrooms without Sunday's best on not even socks or shoes. Just you and Him!
